So we're sitting at Olive Garden enjoying our date, enjoying our meal, when the waiter comes by to check on us, and he says to my Husband "I've got another coke coming for you sir", so he goes and gets that, comes back, and while I'm engaged in conversation with Dave, he says "mam, hows that diet coming?" well all I heard was the word DIET which I'm quite familiar with right now! I looked up at him with this blank,yet confused look, and my dear Husband being the jokester he is, turns to me and says "he wants to know how you're doing with your diet" still I'm having a confused look, then it hit me, my DIET drink! I started dying laughing, to which the waiter looked relieved! I think he thought he had really offended me! Well I prayed for the Lord's help for my eating today, and I thought maybe I was hearing God's voice checking me on my diet, cause I was getting pret-ty full at that point! Anyway the whole thing was humorous,we laughed and laughed again about it!

I meant to post this yesterday but didn't get to it  

This is my Mom and I a few weeks ago when we were in Indiana. Yesterday was her Birthday 62!

The last day we were there, I took her to her DR. appt. and then surprized her on the way back by stopping at Cracker Barrel for lunch, and I bought her a cute t-shirt for an early pressent.  Now although that all sounds wonderful...it wasn't without kicking and screaming the whole way! LOL! See Mom is always in a hurry, always chooses drive-thru over a sit down meal, plus that day she was contantly on her cell phone! My nephew had called her, so she was trying to get ahold of him, my sister had called (her little girl had broke her arm the day before and was getting surgery later that day) so she was talking back and forth with her making plans, AND my girls were spending the day with my DAD and she was worried about them not finding anything to eat for lunch! UHHH!  So that;s why I said kicking and screaming the whole way!  After she got settled down and got off the phone, she enjoyed her meal, we enjoyed talking, and I think it made her very happy.  And yes I would do it all again, because she is my MOM, and I love her, but I sure hope that I am not that difficult for my girls when I get older!!! LOL!   I've found since being moved away that cards are important, when you can't be there in person especially! We sent out a little care package to her this week, with some cute cards from the girls and I , some candy, and hanky's with a flowers on them (something she likes). Also we had found the original Bambi Movie in vidio at a yard sale, in mint condition. She had got all the grand-kids that movie but didn't have it herself. She likes to watch it with them when they come visit. So anyway Happy Birthday to MOM!

My plans for today and the rest of the weekend.... right now my older two girls are at a TEA with some of thier friends, and my two little ones are here playing with thier friend Lydia. Later on I'll take them to my friend Kay;s who is going to babysit for us this evening while I go out with...

As for Sat, not sure what we're all doing yet, I'm hoping to get some laundry caught up around here and need to go thru some more clothes of Hope;s that's too little (a never ending task!)

Good Tuesday Morning!   Haven't blogged much lately as we've had company, then yesterday trying to get back into routine, not to mention (catch up on rest!)

Today's Hubby;s day off, so I'm hoping for a walk with him on the bike trail (it's so beautiful!), also hoping for a bike ride with Leah today, yesterday it was with Rachel, and oh yes Hannah Grace is begging for her turn! I may be a skinny mama after all if I can get all these bike rides and walks in! This afternoon is Weight Watchers meeting, hopefully I've lost another pound or two!

Funny time of year to do it but.. we ordered some more school work for the girls, so I'm waiting on it to come hopefully Friday. I'm ready for break along with the girls, but we need to do a little more written work yet. I'm looking forward to this summer to do some sewing and do some Pic albums.

Homeschool convention in Orlando is coming up the end of May. This year I'm taking the older two girls, and Leah may be sighned up for the Teen program. I'm really excited about the mother-daughter time we will have and also excited for them to see how BIG homeschooling really is! The convention can be quite overwhelming!

Last night, Leah and I watched that movie AMISH GRACE, really sad! Have any of you seen it? Just wondering what your thoughts are on how well real acting the Amish were? It's hard for us to decide because we are friends with some Amish.   We watched it on the laptop, as we decided to save some money and some TIME and cancelled regular TV for now.  I just find that we're alot more productive without it, and it's nice weather right now, Also I'm hoping some children around here will pick up on some reading! (and myself!).

Well I guess I've really rambled on this morning, maybe the next blog I'll keep it more on one or two thoughts!

Today DH and DD#1 left the house at 4am to go meet our cousin Monica who's coming for the week to stay. So it was just me and the other 3 DD's. Being determined to rest and be peaceful and have a good day was on my agenda, and guess what ... it happened! Beautiful morning here was spent doing a few chores, of laundry and straightening the house, but after that it was an easy lunch, visiting outside with a few neighbors, the little girls playing out, some reading for me from the latest book I bought in the Smoky Mountains, then a nice nap for me! After that DD#2 went on her bike ride while I started supper (pizza casserole and french bread). Then when she returned to babysit so I could go, I took off on my new (birthday) bike that I just got this week, and headed for the bike trail. The weather today was just about perfect, so crusing on my bike thru the wooded trail was awesome! I normally don't go by myself, but I only got creeped out one time!   Then the travelers returned, long enough to head back out the door to the rodeo in town, and I choose to stay here with DD#4 litte bit, which fell asleep in her towell on the couch right after her bath....So all is quiet and I just had to report what a wonderful day I've had!! I'm thinking all this rest and quiet will help me in the days to come this week with yet another teen age girl under our roof! Pray for me, will ya???!!!  Have a great Lord's day tomorrow!!   ~JILL~
