I Am Praying for.....my girls, for everyone in this house to feel better, for our baby on the way, for some deep desires of my heart

I am hoping for...to get the closet re-organized TODAY! When I say Closet, I mean, the all girls closet, I still have not finished the summer to winter change over. It will be alot less confusion for those picking out thier clothes to wear each day if we get all those unseasonable ones out!

I am Thankful for....Oh my I have a long list! for my Dear sweet Husband who listens to the Lord, for my children, whom of lately I've been seeing some fruits of my labor produced  for my brothers and sisters in the Lord who have prayed so much for me lately, for my warm and safe Home, the list goes on and on!

Recent News...The Gems Auction (for Prison ministry) was a success!!!  It brought more money than it ever had before, a good continuous crowd was there right up until the end. It was a taxing weekend for me, but by taking the Zofran, I made it through. I didn't work at it this time, just sat and watched and bid on a few things.

  • Monday's Meanderings

So far so good, I've taken my Ginger capsule, took an anti-acid pill, and have ate two or three times since I woke up today, so far no nausea today !  Last week I had got a presription called in for nausea called Zofran, It's what they give cancer patients who are sick with chemo-therapy. It really helps, but its really expensive so the insurance would only pay for 8 per month. So yesterday I took a phenegan instead so I could go to church....well, not good, I had to go to the nursery to hear the sermon on the moniter because I kept dosing off. Then came home and meant to take a small nap before I started dinner but instead slept about all day and still went to bed early. So that stuf is out of the question! I have 3 more Zofran I'm trying to save for the weekend, because we have the Prison Ministry Auction, and I really need to not be sick, it will be long days.

     silly girls!

Friday, DH had and errand to run in Tallahasse and asked me along. I said I wanted to go and could we Please stop at Motherhood to see about some clothes. We had some money in an account, not really meant for that, but DH said you need them and It might make you feel better. (I do wish it would take away all the nausea!) So we did get some to help me thru the next few months, and I'll keep looking for clearences and thrift stores for some spring ones for when I'm in the last trimester. Last time I had outgrown all my clothes by then and was wearing one skirt every time I went out somewhere! The days I spent at home I wore Pajama pants .  We also went to Bath & Body which was next door, and I wanted to buy every candle in the store! Instead, I got some Peppermint Twist shower gel, and a few other kinds. It was buy 3, get 3 free!  Also we "HAD" to stop at Claire's for little girls that were along for the long day...Hannah Grace bought her some houseshoes, and Hope bought her a pink and silver poka dot tu-tu. She held it all the way home, put in on when she got home and then SLEPT in it! . It was a good day except for our last stop to Walgreens, where I got sick again.

Saturday, determined not to be sick, I took my meds and took Leah with me to town. I needed to do some shopping that required no ditractions, so I could remember it all! We rarely get to go with just two of us. Rachel reluctedly agreed to watch the little girls, Daddy was home too, with the promise that her turn would come next. We had a successful trip with Leah finding her some long sleeve tops, house shoes, and a some good finds at Dollar tree, like ponytails (that keep disapearing) around here.  Walmart was our last stop where we had takes Hope's Birthday money to get the bike she wanted. Its purple and she loves it!   That evening when we got home DH had made up his own recipe of shrimp and grits, talk about good stuff!  What a man!!!

    Hope and her new bike!

I'm trying to catch up the laundry today and clean up around the house. Rach is helping with laundry, Leah working on Algebra and has class this afternoon, Hannah Grace having a good school day, DH working on repairing the kitchen cabinet, and Hope going around distracting everyone!   Have a great Monday!!!!!   ~Jill~

  • ~It's Thursday Already?~

Outside my Window...I woke up to cool breezes coming thru my bedroom window, the sound of thunder and rain coming down, snug under my shabby chic quilt, with a sweet seven year old snuggled up beside me, (who had came in unknowing to me, some time early in the morn). Leah then came thru and I had her to turn on my "Smoky Mountain Christmas" cd to listen to a few minutes before getting up  I thought to myself, Why not? You don't get this kind of sweet wake-up most days!  (especially here lately)  So I say Thank YOU Lord!

I am Thankful...for my Husband who is willing to sacrifice for the sake of his family, for my children who still love me in spite of everything, for the freedom to enjoy a rainy day in your housecoat when you still don't feel great

In the kitchen....it;s pretty well cleaned up, as far as supper, it will be something very simple, such as pigs in the blanket, (little hot dogs rolled up in cresent rolls and baked. The girls love them, and that's what we had last Thursday on Daddy's late night.

In the living room... Rachel practicing piano, mostly Christmas tunes, Hannah Grace and Hope in the floor beside me looking at a Highlights magazine, books and magizines here and there where as one of my sit down jobs, I started cleaning out the magazine basket.

I am wearing...still in my housecoat  I dread getting dressed lately, I have so few things that fit, and haven't been maternity clothes shopping yet, except for one top that DH liked and we bought at Target, but its dressy.

The last few days.....have been dark ones, I hate to keep saying it, but with me being so sick, things kind of fell apart around here  no one happy, everybody whiny, Leah has been sick this week too, every morning its been one girl or the other with a crisis. It has wore me down so much, challenged my faith, all of us were like "we need you Jesus, come to my Rescue" and where are you Lord??? So I did what any desperate pregnant woman would do, I broke down to my husband in lots of tears. Anyway we're trying to work through all this, so please keep us in your prayers. I kept saying in my heart, I don't understand this Lord, why do we have to be going thru this now, I want to be joyful over our new family member coming, I want the family to be joyful and not resent the baby because of all the pain we're going thru. So yesterday, I was just sitting on the couch fixing one of the girls hair, when it came to me...what is the Lord trying to teach us thru all of this? It gave ne hope to think that we will come out better and stronger on the other side of this.  It has definitely "exposed" us and shown what is inside our hearts. Enough of that, I want to look for brighter days!

I am sharing....something cute, at least I think so

    trunk treat 083

This is Little Bit's hair french braided, It 's so fine, it doesn't look possible to braid, but somehow...

last night she and Hannah slept in sponge curlers, so this morning Hope came to me and said " I want you to take my curlwers out" I should have took a pic of it!

Plans for today....get dressed  work on some very behind laundry, hopefully feel good enough to drive HG to her 4-H meeting, I also heard a rumor a few minutes ago that there may possibly be some baking going on in my kitchen.. cookies and whoopie pies...I hope so!          ~Jill~

  • trunk treat 348 I

Sat nite-God's Treasures & Trunks from our church fall thing.

Guess I spoke too soon about feeling better   Ive had some more sickness the last few days. It started on Friday eve. after eating Pizza...we were in the Van, the family being silly talking about gross things..when I warned them they needed to stop it, but it was too late, the only place DH could find to pull over was the pumpkin patch! You get the rest of the picture, I'm sure!  So then Sat morn, same thing again.  Sun we had a missions service to do at our church telling about the Prison Ministry we're involved in, I made it to that, but felt bad in the afternoon, still Gaggy. So you can't imagine how I fear making it thru the day here lately, got sick again this morning.  I really don't know what to think, I really thought it was about over.  Sooo please say a prayer for me again, I have so much stuff I need to do, I'm in mid changing closets over and clothes are everywhere!  It's been weeks since we've had normal school. It's just been get it done how ever you can. It so depresses me!

On the up-side, It's November and it;s one of my favorite months! It's a very pleasant month in Fl.  We had a little turkey dinner yesterday for Sun dinner. Makes me excited for thanksgiving food, I love it!!!!

  • It's Thursday!

Outside my Window...humid and cloudy, looks like a storm is on it;s way today! Hope it brings some much needed rain!

Beside my Bed... alot of books that I can't decide which one to start reading again, I've started all of them   My snack-bar (as DH calls it) has about disapeared, I've been able to get out of bed without eating first!   Now I just have 2 am and 3am feedings

In the School Room... Leah got her grades back from her four algebra quizes from the college textbook and made an 88, 90, 100, and 100!!!  I don't know who is happier, she or I!!!  Rachel is doing great on her school, Hannah Grace is as smart as ever although we haven't got alot of school done since mama being so sick  she does read alot on her own, and that makes me happy

From the Kitchen...warm biscuits right out of the oven (canned ) but they're good!  I'm "wanting" to make homemade Amish church cookies today, hoping I feel good enough too. I know I would have some little helpers that would enjoy it!

Around the House....my DD's have been working thier tails off to try to keep this place running while mama don't feel good!  I "started" going thru the clothes storage totes for Fall and Winter clothes for the little girls, I'm washing up a little at a time and getting ready to change over thier closets. Also needing to change mine...to the ones that actually FIT!

I am Hoping..the next few weeks will go fast, I'm looking forward to our prison ministry Auction the second week of Nov. and of course Thanksgiving, We haven't decided what we'll be doing for it yet but we may go away for the day, since it's just us. Girls want to do Black Friday shopping!

I am Creating...a few little picture booklets to send to my mom.

I am Praying...for DH who is under a heavy load right now, for things here at home to go better, for a bunch of other "unspoken" requests.

I am Thankful...that we got our traveling van fixed! For DH who said on his way out yesterday morn "do what you can, and sweep the rest under the rug, we'll get it" so thankful that he has a good attitude while things aren't up to par right now. He and the girls have helped so much. What a Man! What a Family!

News from my Tummy  .....I had my first dr. appt this week with a Midwife, had an ultrasound and seen little one for the first time! They said things are going well and I'm doing good. This is a different place than I went last time, and I really liked them. She did tell me I should watch my carbs, because of being 37 I'm more likely for gestational diabetes. Lets hope NOT, but I'll be careful just the same. Oh I'm 11 weeks along!

    I am sharing...

n1524594354_195742_6451 an early Friday Flashback with our first two DD's age four and two! I wish I still looked so young! (but that was 11 years ago!)     Have a great Thursday!!!     Jill

October 18, 2010

  • I've been blogging alot this evening....but have alot on my mind   I'm having a wave of homesickness for Indiana. I usually don't admit it much when I do, but wow, don't know if I'm going to overcome this one!

This time of year is hard on me for one thing, it has cooled off some but not enough for what I'm missing!  I'm so ready to be done with summer! Of course I hear its dry in Indiana just like it is here.

I keep thinking of some possible way to make a real quick visit, but doubt it's possible! Our next visit is Christmas week. That seems so far away right now!

I want to set around my MIL's table and eat veg. soup, I want to see my girl's excitement when we see thier mamaw, papaw and grandma, I want to sit around with my SIL and hear her laugh! I want to sit on my MIL's porch swing and feel the cool crisp fall air, I want to ride with Dad on his mule thru the woods, I want to hug my mom    I want, I want, I want! I whine, I whine, I whine!

So I could use some more prayers right now, I don't want to entertain thoughts of moving if it's not God's will, but to be honest I'm struggling.                                                                        Jill

We are all needing new outfits for it, so hopefully I'll get more serious about it this year. We all had such a fun time at it.        ~Jill~

  •  Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord! and Hope's 4th Birthday!!!

    Hope's 4th Birthday! 002

PTL I'm feeling some better! Still a little queesy tummy, but much better, and on foot again!   Had a wonderful weekend where I was able to attend and help at Goat Day in the Pioneer villiage, and then went to church on Sunday, out to dinner and celebrated Hope's B-day that afternoon!

    Hope's 4th Birthday! 003

I had fretted all last week about what to do for her B-day, I had thought I wanted to have a little friends party for her, but wasn't sure I'd even be up for the simplest little party with the way I was feeling.  I finially got a peace about it and decided we'd just see how it goes and go with it. At four yrs. she doesn't have a lot of expectations anyhow! Sometimes us silly parents make a bigger deal of things...know what I mean???

    Hope's 4th Birthday! 007

So we had the sweetest little celebration at home with just our little family, Hope seemed to enjoy it alot!  AND never once said a word about a party!  I was just so thankful that it worked out like it did, its hard for me to let go and do things different than what I have planned.

    Hope's 4th Birthday! 012

this is the cutest dishes set I've ever seen, we got it at Target.  Her mamaw sent her in the mail, the red pots and pans to go with it.

and not pictured was a package she recieved today from her aunt, that was another mermaid doll, dressed in a princess dress, and two cards from friends.

Can't believe she's  years old, but she's cuter than ever, and so much fun!               ~Jill~

    Next post about Goat Day..
