However, I am NOT doing exactly the way she is. B/C I had done it YEARS ago. I have worked at hotspots and fling boogies, etc., for a long time. Now, I am making my own home notebook. By my own rules. I am just trying to get a general plan going.
One thing that makes it hard, is you homeschool. You have to incorporate that. Its not in the book.
To me, the first and only place to START....START....is simply by getting rid of stuff. It will consume you. You wind up just moving it from place to place. (especially with homeschooling!)
One BIG THING........*******I would not join the BIG TENT GROUP FOR FLYLADY>******** I am currently on it, about to get off. ITS OVERWHELMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@jimsruby - yal, I know , that is the very thing I thought, How can I incorperate this into Homeschooling, someone needs to write a Homeschooling edition to this book... could it be you??? or me??? We've been doing clutter control for years and really, as long as we keep doing the fling thing every so often, it's not bad right now at all, I'm just very bad about keeping routines, so that's where I'm trying to get help! I bought stuff for the notebook of control LOL, and I'm going to try and work on it this week
I had never heard of the Flylady until I followed your link. Very interesting. My kids might call me the flylady, only because I love using flyswatters Neat face options on Zanga! Anyway, we're praying for you lots!
@floridayankees - I am wanting to say there was a link for homeschooling. I AM NOT SURE. I may be thinking of something else. BUT.....if you can go to some of my earlier blogs, I had a thing on homeschooling-keeping papers straight. If I can find it, I'll repost it.
Routines. Use hers as a guidline. But.....make your own. Its too hard living by somebody elses!! LOL
@jimsruby - Yal I worked on my book last night, adding my own little stuff, probably some more stuff along the way....like the morn thing, I'm all for making the bed soon as I get up, but if I want any computer time, it works way better if it;s before getting dressed and doing all the morn chores or else I never have a quiet time again till night fall! LOL! So today I'm still in robe, but will head for clean up soon!
I wake up around 7. Feed my cat, put on the coffee, open front door, check my calendar and menu. Then by the time I do that, my coffee is usually ready. Then I sit at the computer and do my blog and facebook while I drink my coffee. That first hour is my time.
I wake Brett up at 8. When I wake him up, he is given an hour to get up, eat, chores, etc. While he is doing that, I go to my room, make bed, hair, teeth, swish and swipe my bathroom. I dont even do Bible study til later-maybe around 2. I just simply aint awake enough to do Bible reading and studying. And I'm ashamed to say it isnt everyday. But I do daily ~ pray before my feet hit the floor, and thats good enough for me. I still give him my "first fruits." Its just in spending time with him in prayer, not reading. My mind is not busy yet. No phones, no interuptions.
By 9 ~ we begin school and the rest of the day. Jake gets up whenever!!!! LOL
