Crisis Pregnancy Banquet
Last night we went to a Crisis Pregnancy Banquet. I'd never been to one before, it was very eye-opening to say the least. I mean we "know" of abortion and we know of single moms, but when you look at the numbers of it in your own community...well we have lots of work to do, lots more prayers to pray.
It is a ministry I'd like to get involved in more in the future. Right now, it is a ministry that our women's ministry at church supports. They showed about a 50 second no sound vidio at the end of his talk, which he said "if you don't wish to see, then look away" I thought maybe I should, with being pregnant, but yet I wanted to see, so I did, it was heartbreaking. It was showing the babies aborted at what week #, the last one being close to the week # I am, thats when it hit me. I think of that line in that song "Break my heart for what breaks yours" so we need to see, we need to know, we need to have our hearts broken for what breaks God's heart.He also talked to the people there that he knew it was extrremely hard for them to sit there thru his talk, because of thier past. He offered them the Gospel. It was Awesome! Give God all our stuff, and he gives us Forgiveness! What a deal, who would pass that up?

wonderful pic and WONDERFUL POST!!!! I couldnt have say thru it, having lost 2 to natural causes. There is a man who lives on a road where he has a picture of an aborted baby on a sign in his front yard. I know the sign is to send a message, but that hurts so bad seeing it as I drive by. I dont look now, but I know its there and its in my minds eye.

That is a very pretty dress and you two look great! You have that 'glow'.
Our church also supports our county's Crisis Pregnancy Counsel. It is so necessary to provide a loving Christian alternative to Planned Parenthood and all of the others like it who are tolerant of abortion. People read with horror the practice of Godless people sacrificing babies in Old Testament yet think it is a right to take the life of a soul in the womb. I don't get it.
@victoriantomboy - I think I may have seen a sign like that too, very distubing!
@bronze_for_gold - Thanks and I just dug that dress out of the closet, it wasn't even a maternity one!
